FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is the best practice for the pipe placement?
Ensure the pipe always runs at the same height or higher than the appliance base to allow effective water drainage from the gas pipes. The pipe should not have U-shaped dips or bends to allow effective water drainage.
What safety precautions are there to ensure the gas is turned off?
There is a valve that is attached to the gas pipe whereby the gas flow can be turned off. In addition, we provide a valve which can be installed next to your stove top, so that the gas flow can be controlled from inside the kitchen.
Can any gas stove support biogas?
Conventional gas stoves are not built for biogas, if you are not using a compatible biogas stove, you will need to convert it to work on biogas. Converting the stove to work on biogas requires adjusting the nozzle. Make sure that the stove you buy has a nozzle that can be removed.

What is the kw output of HomeBiogas 1.0?
The appliance provides a heat output of around 2 kw. Please verify the stove’s specification, and be aware that if the burners collectively consume over 2 kw then two burners working simultaneously will have a lower flame. HomeBiogas typically supports the use of up to 2 flames simultaneously.
